Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are married! On the 31st of May the two had a private civil ceremony, and then had a three day long public wedding in Sicily! Here is what you need to know!
London Wedding
Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s private wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London. The two took a simple, but classy approach to their private ceremony in terms of attire. Dua Lipa wore a white skirt suit with gold buttons, a pair of matching gloves, and a wide brimmed hat, while Callum Turner wore an all black suit, shirt, and tie. For the flowers Dua Lipa was carrying a simple bouquet of white and orange Icelandic poppies. The London wedding was a simple and private one, but from what people could see, it seems the couple had just what they wanted!
Sicily Pre-Wedding Attire
After London, Dua Lipa and Callum Turner made their way to Palermo, Sicily for a public wedding that lasted from June 5-7! This wedding was more lavish, and the couple seems just as happy! For the pre-wedding party, Due Lipa traded her suit in for a backless, mermaid style leather dress with long feathers that went from the upper thigh to the hem of the dress. She paired this with a matching feathered bag and gold accessories. As for Turner, he traded in his all black number for a beige suit, white shirt, and black sunglasses.
Sicily Wedding Attire
On June 20th Dua Lipa revealed on her instagram what she and Turner wore for their big day in Sicily! Dua Lipa wore a custom Chanel Haute Couture dress. It is a backless, sleeveless, form fitting dress with a train and high neckline. The dress has around 480,000 hand-embroidered beads, jewelry that drapes across her back and hips, and similar to the pre-wedding dress, there are feathers that go from the mid thigh to the hem of the dress. In addition, Dua Lipa also has a 6-meter tulle veil with hand embroidered beads and feathers. As for Callum Turner, his wedding attire was a custom made suit by Louis Vuitton with a pleated shirt, and a peony boutonnière.
Venue
As for the venue, the wedding took place at the Villa Valguarnera, also known as “little Versailles. It is an 18th-century estate with 37 acres of gardens and farmland. It is located in the town of Bagheria in the province of Palermo in Sicily. It costs about $15,500 a week to rent the villa, and the estimated cost by Vanity Fair of Dua Lipa’s wedding was around $1.75 million! As of right now the happy couple has not shared photos of the ceremony itself, but if they do we will keep you updated!
The happy couple seem to be levitating with happiness, and we cannot wait to see more from their big day!
