Bridal Extravaganza welcomes the next billboard bride: Chanelle

It didn’t start with a whirlwind romance; they started as friends. They first crossed paths on a live recording project for an artist, brought together by their work in music entertainment. From there, they became real, steady, genuine friends who watched each other build, grow, fail, dream, and pray. Long before they ever dated, they were cheering each other on in their businesses, in their faith, and in life.
They’re both entrepreneurs and creatives in their own right. Terence is the CEO of T. Vaughn Entertainment and is known for being a gifted composer, writer, pianist, and music producer. Chanelle is a multisector executive with a background spanning Technology + Music Entertainment Strategy and nonprofit leadership, in addition to being the founder of Flavours Candle Co. Their connection grew from mutual respect, a shared work ethic, and a love of creativity. They’ve seen each other hustle, lead, and lean on God when things didn’t make sense. Both Chanelle and Terence mention that friendship laid the foundation, and love grew from there.
The engagement itself reflected all of that so beautifully. Terence planned a weekend in the Texas Hill Country, surrounded by wide-open skies and what Chanelle describes as “the beauty of God’s creation,” something Terence knows Chanelle deeply loves.
He surprised her with dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant with an intimate setting and a tasting menu booked months in advance. He arranged a special menu for her because he knew she wouldn’t enjoy some of the more adventurous dishes. “That attention to detail is so thoughtful, observant, and incredibly kind.” Mentions Chanelle.
The next day, he hired a private driver and took her through Fredericksburg wine country for a full day of vineyard views, great food, and quiet conversation. It was beautiful and peaceful, yet she still had no idea what was coming.
Later that day, Terence brought her to a hilltop overlooking the scenery, where the sun and sky stretched endlessly around them. They sat, talked, laughed, and reflected on life. “Being in that moment surrounded by creation reminded me of Psalm 19”: “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.” “And right there, in the quiet and the beauty, Terence proposed.” -Chanelle
It was simple, heartfelt, and deeply meaningful. Even with all the thoughtful details of the weekend, what mattered most was the felt sincerity of his heart and the peace they both shared. Over the years, they have learned that love grows best when friendship is the foundation and God is at the center. Chanelle and Terence are both looking forward to loving, honoring, and cherishing each other for a lifetime.
Bridal Extravaganza Experience
That same authenticity that helped build Chanelle and Terence’s relationship also carried Chanelle through the Billboard Bride tryouts. Instead of approaching the audition as a performance, she focused on simply being herself. Chanelle arrived at tryouts bare-faced and dressed to the nines.
“It was quick and painless! I walked in as myself; no script, no performance, just Chanelle. I think when you’re comfortable in who you are, sitting before a panel, answering video interview questions, and walking a mini runway all come naturally. I didn’t overthink any of it, and I believe that made all the difference.” – Chanelle.
For Chanelle, the experience was less about impressing judges and more about embracing the opportunity with confidence. Her genuine personality and poise shone through, qualities that have become defining characteristics not only in her personal life with Terence but throughout her journey auditioning for Billboard Bride. The experience reinforced the importance of authenticity, showing up as yourself and trusting that who you are will always be enough.

“It was an absolute blast!” Chanelle says. “Getting to step into multiple gowns for the photoshoot was so much fun. I wanted to be versatile in my selections so that other brides can envision themselves in a variety of looks and styles. Every dress tells a different story, and I loved being able to bring several of those stories to life in one shoot.”
One of the highlights of every Billboard Bride’s experience is the opportunity to step into a variety of wedding gowns, each offering a unique look. Rather than focusing on a single bridal style, she embraced the chance to showcase different silhouettes and designs, helping other brides imagine what might be possible for their own wedding day.
Billboard Bride Photoshoot
During the Billboard Bride photoshoot, Chanelle was full of thoughts of her life past and future. For Chanelle, knowing Terence was “the one” wasn’t a single moment so much as the consistency of his character over time. Chanelle mentions that scripture talks about recognizing people by their “fruit.” Over the years, she has watched Terence consistently show kindness, patience, humility, leadership, and integrity not just publicly but privately, too.
“Faith has always been at the center of our relationship.” Says Chanelle. They believe love is more than feelings, it’s a commitment to serve, grow, and honor God together. They describe their story as one of patience, prayer, and partnership, and they have chosen each other with intention and purpose. “As a Christian woman, I knew my husband would have to love God, honor me, bring peace into my life, and lead with both strength and gentleness. Terence has been that safe place for me. He’s thoughtful, patient, loving, supportive, and steady. He makes me laugh constantly, encourages my dreams, and somehow manages to be deeply grounded while also being… SUPER CHOCOLATY FINE!” Says Chanelle. She saw how he treated people, how he handled pressure, how he showed up for others, and how he continued to pursue growth in his faith and purpose. “Just as importantly,” Chanelle says, “Watching him love and care for not only me but also my two children with steadiness, gentleness, and genuine presence spoke volumes to my heart.”
One of the things Chanelle loves most about their relationship is that it doesn’t feel forced. It has grown slowly and naturally out of years of trust and friendship. There is peace in it, and that peace joined her on the photoshoot. Love is not about perfection, but the kind of peace that comes when the Lord is truly at the center, and you find the person who completes your world.
Chanelle’s words of wisdom,
As Chanelle prepares to begin this next chapter with Terence, her perspective on marriage remains rooted in something deeper than the details of the wedding day itself. While she has enjoyed every part of the journey, she hopes other brides remember what matters most.
“My biggest message to any bride would be this: remember the true reason for this season. The flowers, the dress, the venue: all of it is beautiful and worth celebrating, but at the end of it all, it is about entering into a covenant. You are choosing a person, joining your life to your best friend, and committing to love, serve, and honor them for a lifetime. Don’t let the details of the day overshadow the depth and beauty of what you’re actually stepping into.”
