While in college, LaYauna met Rob, the love of her life. From that moment, their connection only grew stronger. LaYauna had always dreamed of a surprise proposal, but she’s not one to be easily fooled! It actually took Rob four tries to finally pull off the perfect surprise. One night, she was excited about dinner at her favorite Brazilian steakhouse (“I love me some steak,” she laughs) and had no clue what was coming. Surrounded by family, the evening took a magical turn when Rob got down on one knee, her mom and brother holding up a sign behind him. In that perfect moment, LaYauna’s dream came true, she said yes!
Bridal Extravaganza Experience
First stop! Bridal Extravaganza! Just a month after getting engaged, LaYauna made her way to the Bridal Extravaganza Show at the George R. Brown Convention Center, looking for inspiration and to get her creative juices flowing. After attending the show three times, she has become quite the Bridal Extravaganza pro! Her first time was with her mom after her engagement, then as an influencer with exclusive access to the pre-show before it opened to the public, and later at the Woodlands Show, where she brought her fiancé along for the fun. By a twist of fate, LaYauna found her wedding planner just as she was about to leave the show. She hadn’t planned on hiring one, but soon realized it was one of the best decisions she could make. “There is so much you don’t know about organizing your wedding,” says LaYauna. “Having a planner is a priceless resource to have all of your questions answered from one source.” LaYauna shares that it’s been important to involve her fiancé at every step and lean on him for support when making decisions for the big day. After all, when it comes down to it, the wedding is really about the two of them. The couple is set to marry on April 13th, 2026, at the stunning venue, Chateau Novelle in Houston.

A Sam Houston State University graduate with a degree in Marketing, LaYauna transformed her creativity into a fulfilling career as a social media and digital marketing specialist for a non-profit organization, allowing her to connect with her community and make a positive impact through her work. Aside from her professional career, you’ll find her shining in front of the camera as an actress and content creator, sharing her passion through fun how-to videos, uplifting content, and entertainment that empowers her followers.
Billboard Bride Photoshoot
During the Billboard Bride photoshoot, LaYauna lit up the camera, radiating pure joy and excitement, as if she were getting a magical preview of her own wedding day. Her look was effortlessly elevated by A. Simone Allure, who styled her hair into a graceful updo with soft waves framing her face. Makeup artist Jessica Kennedy enhanced LaYauna’s natural beauty with a flawless, glowing finish that perfectly complemented her radiant smile. With a breathtaking selection of gowns from Ventura’s Bridal Fashions, LaYauna brought three distinct bridal looks to life, each reflecting her unique style, grace, and radiant personality. To complete every ensemble, she carried a romantic bouquet of blush pink roses and tulips, thoughtfully designed by Christina May at Kroger Florals, adding a dreamy finishing touch that tied every look together. The Parador was the perfect setting, a timeless Houston gem built in 1928. From its immaculate gardens to the arched windows and one-of-a-kind ceremonial stage, the venue offered a setting as elegant and enchanting as LaYauna herself.

LaYauna is stepping confidently into the Billboard Bride spotlight and fully embracing the opportunity ahead. From photo sessions to media features and public appearances, she has enthusiastically accepted every part of the experience. She is ready to represent Bridal Extravaganza throughout her journey. As she prepares to become a Spruell in April 2026, LaYauna is excited to celebrate this moment while sharing her experience with brides across Houston.
