Magic in Mexico
Stacy, a Brand Consultant met attorney Luis Gomar while whitewater Rafting on the Colorado River. It was love at first paddle!
Luis proposed at sunset overlooking the ocean at the St.Regis in Punta Mita, Mexico. It is such a special place for the couple, theywanted to share it with their friends. The rehearsal dinner was so elaborate itcould’ve been a wedding reception. With the ocean waves setting the stage, friends and family enjoyed a traditional Mexican beach bar-be-cue. The weddinglocation took top billing as guests were bused to a secret location: MartocaBeach Garden, Bucerias MX. Nestled into the hillside, this picturesque SpanishHacienda transported guests back in time.
“We LOVE Mexico and got engaged at the nearby St. RegisPunta Mita. Martoca was the perfect blend of rustic beach chic we were lookingfor,” says Stacy.
The traditional Jewish ceremony took place on the beach asthe sun set over the ocean. The bride wore a gown from BHLDN which was re-imaginedby Houston designer Chloe Dao. As soon as passed appetizers and drinks wereenjoyed, the live band stole the show. “My favorite part of the party was ourcrystal LED dance floor—it really elevated the décor and party vibe,” says thebride. Party goers danced all night. In addition to the videographer, a dronecaptured aerial footage of the entire ceremony and reception. This addeddimension and perspective to the wedding video. And who needs cake when a localstreet vendor will make churros on site? The following day, guests were treatedto a farewell champagne brunch.

Stacy’s advice:
The Band MAKES the party, make sure to find a band or DJ that fits your personality and can keep theparty going ALL NIGHT! Also, don’t be afraid to be very specific with your song selections—bands will often learn new songs at a bride’s request.
The Bridal Extravaganza was such a treasure trove of information. I had many of my details planned before the event, but I found somany new ideas and inspiration at every booth!
