Hello Swifties! The love story between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce is entering a new chapter with their upcoming wedding! There has been a lot of speculation on the details of their wedding, and we have been following along with each new update. Here are the most recent predictions for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding!
Date
Previously it was rumored that Taylor and Travis would get married on June 13th, but that date has come and gone! Now the suspected date lands on either July 3rd or July 4th. Taylor Swift has a long documented history of loving the 4th of July, so it is not a stretch to think she would want to celebrate her wedding during that time! Fueling this rumor is the fact that during a press conference regarding New York City’s preparations for the FIFA World Cup Mayor Zohran Mamdani made this statement: “We know it coincides with the Knicks’ Finals run. We know it coincides with July 4, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding — all happening at the same time”.That being said, Mayor Mamdani also stated that he will not be in attendance, and Swift and Kelce have not confirmed this date.
Location
As for the location of Swift and Kelce’s wedding, there is heavy speculation that it will be at Madison Square Garden. As of right now there is a gap between scheduled events that coincides perfectly with the suspected date of Swift and Kelce’s wedding. Additionally, it would have the proper space to hold a large number of guests, which would be perfect since it seems Swift wants to have a large wedding! All of that being said, it is possible that the wedding will take place somewhere else, and Madison Square Garden will either go unused by the couple or be the location of the after party.
Guests
As of right now we do not have confirmation on everyone who will be at the wedding, but there are some strong guesses. Regardless of who is going and who is not, it has been confirmed that Swift and Kelce will have a long guest list. While some sources state that there will be a smaller, private celebration with around 100 close friends and family, the ceremony itself will supposedly have over 1,000 guests! This gives the MSG rumors more weight, as the couple would need a ceremony location with enough space to hold all of the guests. Some may think that this will mean that Swift and Kelce will also need a lot of space for wedding gifts, but that will not be an issue because the couple has implemented a no gifts rule! George Kittle, a tight end and friend of Travis Kelce, told ExtraTV that he was invited to the wedding and that Swift and Kelce said “absolutely no gifts”. Kittle did state however, that he may bend the rule to give Kelce an old coin since he has a liking to them. Both the size of the guest list and the no gifts rule has sparked discussions with fans.
Decor
It is no secret that Taylor Swift has a soft spot for a romantic, fairytale aesthetic, so it would make sense that she would have that incorporated into the decor at her wedding! If her engagement photos are anything to go off of there will be an abundance of florals. If she continues with the same color scheme then it can be expected that there will be lots of whites, soft pinks, and splashes of orange incorporated into the decorations. In addition to the flowers there will also need to be something to fill the space to transform Madison Square Garden into a proper venue. Some sources have suggested the possible usage of draping and the addition of a stage to the MSG. The draping could add a soft touch to the space and frame it, and would pair well with the florals. The stage would not only prop the couple up during the ceremony, but could also double as a spot for any possible performances. While we do not think Swift would try to revive the 80s trend of the bride singing to the guests as she walks down the aisle, we do believe there will be a performance after the vows from Taylor and possibly some of the more musically inclined guests!
Dress
One of the most important parts of a wedding for a bride is her dress! We have not seen Taylor Swift’s dress yet, but there have been theories on who could have designed it. Vogue Australia presented a few contenders such as Ralph Lauren, which is the same designer behind the dress she wore in her engagement photos, and Vivienne Westwood due to a long history of wearing their designs, but also put forth Jackson Wiederhoef since Swift also enjoys showcasing the talents of “unknown” artists. Recently, Page Six reported that Swift will have several outfits for her wedding, and has several dress designs from multiple designers to choose from. According to Page Six Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, designers with the design brand Monse, provided one of the top contenders for Swift’s dress. We will have to wait and see who designed her dress, just how many outfits Swift has, and what style she goes with!
Planner
It is recommended that most couples get a wedding planner, and when the couple is as busy as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce a planner is a must! The most prominent name of the suspected planner is Mark Seed, who is the same planner that did Jennifer Lawrence’s wedding in 2019. Seed is a very talented planner, and is also very dedicated to the privacy of his clients! He has not confirmed nor denied any of the speculations, and he most likely will not until the wedding has occurred!
Security
Sometimes there are uninvited guests, which is why some couples decide to hire security for their big day. A celebrity wedding like Swift and Kelce’s is certainly one that requires it, and the couple have seemingly been diligent in making sure their wedding is secure! The couple and everyone else involved in the planning of the wedding have been very tight lipped when it comes to details, and recently it was revealed that not only were NDA’s signed, but there will also be police present during the big day. According to Page Six there will be over 130 police working security in 8.5 hour shifts for the upcoming wedding. Additionally, the Wall Street Journal released a piece on security tactics that many celebrities use, and Swift and Kelce could be using on their big day! The removal of phones, frequency jammers, security drones, and even aliases and decoy locations could all be security tactics used by the couple. We hope Swift and Kelce have a happy day, free from wedding crashers, and we look forward to seeing updates from the couple after their happy day.
Honeymoon
Like their wedding, Swift and Kelce’s honeymoon is also expected to be extravagant! The Sun reported that the couple will be going “off the grid” on a three week long, world wide honeymoon! They are planning on visiting locations in Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean. Spots such as Lake Como in Italy, the French Riviera, Croatia, Singapore, and the Bahamas have all been listed as stops during their post wedding trip. Although Swift and Kelce will be limiting contact during their honeymoon, with the exception of any emergencies that may come up, the whole trip will supposedly be recorded! We hope they have fun, and enjoy their first trip as a married couple!
