The Baroque Experience: More Than just Fashion

Fashion Inspiration

In the ever-evolving world of fashion, designers are constantly seeking inspiration from those that have come before them. They are hoping to seamlessly blend historical beauty with modern subtlety to create fashion pieces that surpasses time. Talya Bendel and Esty Haas are no different in wanting to attempt this merger of history and the present and have partnered together to create a dress line that pulls Baroque aspects from design, architecture and grandeur. All 16 luxurious looks will have you questioning if you entered a fashion show or time traveled back into a different century.

For the romantic bride

The collection reimagines the lavish aesthetics of circa 1745 and a Hamptons soiree in the 1920’s, bringing them to life in modern context. This high fashion gown line was featured in CFDA’s New York Fashion Week Bridal shows, on the staircase at the Woolworth Building downtown and left all in attendance speechless. Perfect for the bride who has always pictured her wedding dripped in romance, elegance and tradition this collection is sure to compliment the bride that is wanting a wedding dress that matches her poetic love story.

Modern Take

A modern take on the past, a gown is a knod to the Yew Tree ball at Versailles in 1745. Every look in the collection is an exquisite question, a puzzle of centuries and decades, daring you to discern the epoch from which each bride hails. One gown whisks you away to the grandeur of the Yew Tree ball at Versailles in 1745, while another plunges you into a Hamptons soirée, evoking the glamour of the 1920s. A mere stride or two later, and you’ll find yourself at the Teatro Di San Carlo in its 1800s prime, a glittering opening night for ballet or opera.

Religious Inspiration

The designers of this collection also attribute their inspiration to their Jewish and Orthodox background. With 15 years of experience of dressing thousands of “Kallahs”, which is Yiddish for “brides”, Esty and Talya were thrilled to have a successful first showing with over 180 bridal and fashion industry guest, media and family to showcase this wearable art. The collection is available by appointment at Haas Bridal Atelier and you can expect prices of gowns to range from $5,000 to $9,000.
